PDO Threads

Aging is a natural process and as we age, we notice a loss of firmness and elasticity which results in fine lines and sagging of skin. PDO threads can help restore lost volume and improve your skin’s elasticity as well as enhance your overall appearance.

PDO threads are a nonsurgical facial rejuvenation procedure that uses polydioxanone (PDO) threads to lift and tighten the skin. These threads are made of a biocompatible material that is commonly used in surgical sutures or stitches and are absorbed by the body over time.

The procedure involves inserting the PDO threads beneath the skin using small needles. It can be used to treat a variety of concerns, such as: sagging skin, wrinkles, fine lines, and nasolabial folds.

The procedure typically takes 30-60 minutes, depending on the treatment area and the number of threads used, under local anesthesia. You can return to most normal activities after the procedure.

The type of thread used will depend on the specific treatment goals and the area being treated.

Mono / Smooth threads are completely smooth and designed to stimulate collagen production and improve skin texture.

Lifting / Barbed threads have small barbs along the length of the thread, which help to anchor the thread in place and provide a lifting effect.

The effects of PDO threads are generally seen 4-8 weeks post procedure, with a few treatments suggested. Individual results will vary.

BENEFITS OF PDO THREADS:

Generally considered to be a
safe and effective procedure
with low risk of complications.

It can improve the contour and
shape of the face by restoring
to areas that have started
sag due to aging.

The threads stimulate collagen
production, which helps to tighten
and lift the skin naturally over time.

The threads also have a slight
tensile effect on the skin,
which helps to lift and
out wrinkles and fine lines.

All in all, PDO threads are
safe, effective, and affordable
minimally invasive option.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are injectable treatments formulated with special ingredients that work with your body to restore the volume of your skin, enhance and improve facial contours, and accentuate features. Most fillers are made with hyaluronic acid, which helps draw water into the subdermal layers of your skin to minimize fine lines, wrinkles, and volume loss.

Dermal fillers are versatile aesthetic treatments that can be used to correct the appearance of skin volume loss, nasolabial lines, thinning lips, and a low chin profile. Whether you want to improve age-related concerns or use fillers to contour your appearance to reach a specific aesthetic goal, there is a filler perfect for your needs.

Treatments involve injections with a fine needle or cannula in the area of interest. Effects of the treatment are visible immediately and a few months after and downtime is minimal, though may involve bruising and swelling. Duration of the treatment effect depends on the underlying individual physiology. Treatments can be repeated or layered as needed to maintain or enhance effects.

Neurotoxins

Neuromodulators such as Botox® and Xeomin® are wrinkle-relaxing injections of Botulinum Toxin. They temporarily relax muscles thereby smoothing unwanted facial lines and wrinkles that are visible while frowning, smiling, raising the eyebrows, scrunching up the nose or pursing the lips.  Lines and wrinkles present without ANY type of facial expression may require additional types of cosmetic treatments such as dermal fillers, PDO threads, or microneedling.

Botox® or Xeomin® treatments involve a few tiny, well placed injections in the areas of interest using an ultra fine needle.

Sensation ranges from barely perceptible to that of a small pinch. Treatment length is approximately 10-30 minutes. There is virtually no downtime and treatment effects are noted in five to ten days. Duration of treatment effect depends on the area treated, dose of medicine given and individual physiology.

Follow up Botox® or Xeomin® skin care treatments can maintain the smoothing effects. Most often three to six treatments per year are all that is needed to keep the relaxed, smooth, youthful effects.

Microneedling

Microneedling is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that minimizes signs of aging, improves the appearance of scars, and globally recharges skin quality.

Microneedling creates microscopic pinpoint wounds in the skin to trigger the body’s healing response. This results in new collagen and elastin formation, making your skin feel plumper and softer. This electric device comes with fourteen little, sterile, medical-grade needles that penetrate the skin.
